Then Sin is a charming village nestled in a majestic valley parallel to Lai Chau. This preserved haven is brimming with natural treasures, including its spectacular terraced rice fields, farms cultivating roses renowned across Vietnam, and horses often roaming semi-wild.

The adventure begins with a picturesque 25-minute motorbike ride to reach the starting point. You will then embark on a 10 km loop hike, following ancient farming trails that offer breathtaking views of the rice terraces and the surrounding karst mountains.

Ideal for lovers of authentic Vietnamese landscapes, this hike offers two options: a round trip or a loop. While the latter is not recommended after heavy rains due to a steep section that may become slippery, it adds an extra touch of adventure. You will need to cross the valley's river twice. During the rainy season, you might end up with wet shoes! Nevertheless, the stunning views from the opposite side make the effort worthwhile.
